About the event

In this presentation, we will lean into data, details and decisions surrounding equitable and inclusive volunteer pools. Participants can expect to leave with at least one new connection, one new skill and one new data point they can use when pitching opportunities to potential volunteers.

Speaker: Ashley Dubois

Speaker bio: Ashleigh is a Cincinnati native who attended Miami University of Ohio for undergrad, completing her Bachelor of Science in Family Studies with a minor in Criminology. Ashleigh’s first job after college was her move to Guangzhou, China to work for Lion King International. Upon her arrival back to the US, she moved to Rochester, New York where she obtained a Masters in Higher Education. She then spent time working in higher education at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio as the Asst. Director for Diversity, and Inclusion. Leaving Ohio for Texas, Ashleigh would then serve as the Assistant Director of the Academic Advising center at the in University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and Northeast Lakeview College in San Antonio, respectively. Boomeranging back to the region, she worked for Northern Kentucky Cooperative for Educational Services (NKCES) as both a project director and its Kentucky Department of Education appointed DEI coordinator. Ashleigh became the founding Director for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the first Black person to ever be hired at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.

Currently, Ashleigh serves as the Community Outreach Manager for Skanska USA, in both Cincinnati and Nashville.

Boards Ashleigh serves on are: LINK NKY Editorial Board, Learning Grove Board, Cincinnati Youth Collaborative Board, FIESTA NKY Board and advisory board member to the College of Health, Education and Society at Miami University.

Directions: When you put Winton Woods into your GPS, it will take you to the harbor. The auditorium is directly across from the harbor. You will enter the side entrance of the building!
